The Big Lie: When Political Deception Meets Biblical Truth

The term “the big lie” has become weaponized in our cultural vocabulary. Legacy media outlets branded claims about the 2020 election as conspiracy theory, borrowing their terminology directly from Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf. Hitler’s propaganda strategy was devastatingly simple: craft the most audacious lie imaginable, repeat it relentlessly through official channels, and eventually the public will accept it as truth.

Understanding “The Big Lie” in Modern Context

This ongoing war between good and evil isn’t new to our generation. It’s the same battle believers have faced throughout history.

Today’s political and media establishments employ this same tactic. They expect us to believe scenarios that defy common sense. A candidate who couldn’t draw a thousand people to a rally somehow received more votes than any president in history, defeating an opponent who held massive rallies with supporters camping out for days. The strategy relies on repetition, institutional authority, and the hope that enough people will capitulate to the narrative.

But Scripture tells us: there is nothing new under the sun. The big lie wasn’t invented in 20th century Germany. It was perfected thousands of years ago by political and religious leaders whose power and profit were threatened by truth.

The Neocon Money Machine and Modern Warfare

The neoconservatives and the big war machine despise certain political figures for one simple reason: disruption of their money flow. Four years of no new wars means billions and trillions of dollars they can’t extract from taxpayers. That’s what they live for. Wars equal profits.

The parallel to biblical times is exact. Two thousand years ago, religious leaders determined Jesus had to die. Not because of theology, but because He was affecting their money machine. The temple economy depended on people staying in line, paying their fees, and not questioning the system.

Sound familiar?

Romans 16: Be Simple Concerning Evil

The Apostle Paul, writing to the church in Rome around 57 AD, closes his letter to the Romans with urgent wisdom. He’s never visited this congregation, but he longs to ground them in truth before false teachers infiltrate. In Romans 16, Paul delivers this critical instruction:

“I want you to be simple concerning evil.”

Paul understood the primary threat facing young churches. Believers weren’t yet grounded in Christ’s teachings. This created vulnerability. People seeking power would enter, alter the message, gain control, split the congregation, and destroy the Christian community from within.

His counsel? Don’t get entangled in debates about evil. Don’t argue endlessly about these things. Test your own heart. Pray to God for answers. Judge a tree by its fruit.

This wisdom applies directly to our moment.

The Fruit of Modern Deception

Legacy Media’s Coordinated Lies

The legacy media cannot be trusted. They’re destroying their own industry with lies repeated all day, in concert. They all receive the same narrative from corporate owners and repeat these lies in synchronized fashion. The American people have responded by fleeing to alternative media, creating an entirely new genre of independent journalism. COVID-19 accelerated this mass exodus.

Government Bills: Deception in Plain Sight

Examine the names of bills our government passes and the money attached to them. The brazenness is almost laughable, if it weren’t so destructive.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (2010) – “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” That was 100% a lie. Today, your doctor may still be your doctor, but he’s transformed from a health advocate into a prescription-writing bureaucrat paid by how many scripts he generates.

Families First Coronavirus Response Act – Protecting families from a pandemic less lethal than seasonal flu for most people. This should have been called the Genocide Act. It was designed to compromise health, kill and disable as many people as possible. Now we have turbo cancers, young athletes dropping dead, and deafening silence from authorities.

The CARES Act – Should have been named the Hyperinflation Act or the Put Your Great-Grandchildren Under Crushing Debt Act.

Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act – One trillion dollars. Line item: $7.5 billion for electric charging stations. They built five. Five stations for $7.5 billion.

Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 – $1.2 trillion passed at 2:03 AM on a Saturday morning. They wanted us all to be aware and informed, right?

Fiscal Responsibility Act – The goal? Suspend the debt ceiling. Imagine asking your bank to remove all limits on your credit cards and calling it fiscal responsibility.

We’re the employers. The employees have taken over, and their plan is to destroy us and our country.

Good Friday: The Original Big Lie

Matthew 27:57 takes us to the evening Jesus was crucified. As the sun sets, a wealthy man from Arimathea approaches Pilate.

Jesus Buried in Joseph’s Tomb

“Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.”

Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Jesus, sit across from the tomb in disbelief. They watched Joseph place Jesus inside. They saw the stone rolled into place. They’re convinced it’s over, even though Jesus told them repeatedly: “I’m going to rise again from the dead because I am the Son of God.”

None of them believed it. None could absorb that truth.

Notice what’s going wrong for the religious authorities: a rich Jew named Joseph, a man of influence, has become a disciple of Jesus. This is exactly why they needed Him dead. His body on that cross was a symbol: “This guy was lying. If He was the Son of God, this never would have happened. Look at what’s left of Him. That’s what will be left of you if you mess with us. Nobody better be converting. You better stay true to the temple and keep paying.”

Joseph takes the body, wraps Him in clean linen, places Him in his own new tomb, rolls the stone into place, and departs. The women remain, sitting opposite the tomb, believing the whole thing is finished.

Saturday: The Demons Reveal Their Playbook

The next morning, the chief priests and Pharisees come before Pilate with their plan:

“Sir, we remember, while he was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’ Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night and steal him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.”

Notice how demons operate. They know what they would do in this situation. They’d steal the body, stash it away, then tell everyone, “Look, he’s gone! He rose from the dead!” They’d found a whole religion based on a lie.

That’s what demons do. That’s what they do in our government today. That’s what they do in legacy media. They’re not creative. They’re just doing what demons have done for thousands of years.

They won’t even call Jesus by His name. “That deceiver.” Just like they deal with certain political figures today. Rapist. Racist. Cheater. They employ their lawfare. And when lawfare doesn’t work, notice the progression: two assassination attempts. They’re not creative. They’re doing exactly what the Sanhedrin did.

The religious leaders said, “He’s messing with our money. Rich people are leaving our congregation and joining Him. This guy needs to be taken out.”

Our government, DOJ, FBI, Secret Service have all decided the same thing about certain political threats. That’s the only solution they have now.

So they set a guard around the tomb. They take wet clay, stick it between the wall and the stone, press an official seal into it. If anyone moves that rock, the seal shatters, and someone’s in big trouble.

This is the beginning of the big lie. They don’t understand what’s going to happen. Jesus will rise from the dead. He’ll be documented. He’ll be seen by over 500 people. You can’t found a religion that spreads across the earth based on a lie that disciples stole the body.

What God Wants From Us

This is still the same battle between good and evil. But for us, it’s coming to a head.

God wants us to focus on the good, not be preoccupied with what might be evil.

If you’re still wondering whether it’s right to sexualize children and steal their innocence when they should be learning reading, writing, and arithmetic, that shouldn’t be a debate.

If you’re wondering whether it’s right for government to threaten your job unless you take a shot you don’t want, and that shot ends up killing and disabling millions while information gets repressed by legacy media and the medical establishment, you need to wake up.

Little kids and sports stars dropping dead. People with sudden turbo brain cancer. How many have to die before you understand what Paul is saying: be simple concerning evil.

If you’re a Christian who thinks you can compromise with evil in your vote, you’re going to answer to God.

If you’re a Christian who doesn’t vote, you’re going to answer to God.

You’re allowing evil to take over this country. So much sacrifice was made for this nation. So much evidence of God’s hand over this country. But for 50 or 60 years we’ve been complacent.

Look at the result. Look at your grocery receipts. Look at the fact that nobody has a sense of what the future holds. We used to believe the future would get better, that our children would have better opportunities than we had. That’s no longer the case.

In the developed world, we’re the nation with the most rapidly declining health and life expectancy. How does that happen? By design. By evil taking over while sleepy people refuse to wake up.

Judge the Tree by Its Fruit

When you examine the fruit of our institutions, what do you find?

The legacy media lies constantly and viewership collapses. Government programs promise protection and deliver destruction. Bills claim fiscal responsibility while suspending debt limits. Health mandates claim safety while causing unprecedented harm.

The pattern is ancient. The tactics are refined. But the core motivation remains identical: preserve power, protect profit, eliminate threats to the system.

Paul’s instruction to be simple concerning evil is more relevant now than ever. Don’t get entangled in endless debates. Test your own heart. Pray for discernment. Judge the tree by its fruit.

The big lie wants you intimidated, compliant, and silent. But you know better. You’ve seen the fruit. You recognize the pattern. And you serve the God of truth.

The religious leaders in Jerusalem didn’t account for one thing: Jesus actually was who He claimed to be. Three days later, that tomb was empty. The women grieving in disbelief became witnesses to resurrection. The disciples who fled in fear became bold proclaimers of truth, most dying as martyrs rather than denying what they’d seen.

The big lie failed then. It will fail now.

Your job isn’t to fix everything. Your job is to remain grounded in truth, to judge trees by their fruit, to be simple concerning evil, and to trust that the God who raised Jesus from the dead is still sovereign over human affairs.

Sleepy people need to wake up.
